Bowen Islander Shari Ulrich brought home the English Songwriter of the Year award from the Canadian Folk Music Awards last week.
Shari says that this award is extra special for her, as it was her daughter Julia’s engineering and producing that made her album (Everywhere I Go) what it was.
Ulrich also brought back the “Vocal Group of the Year” award for The Highbar Gang.
