Cohousing is an ideology that combines individual living with the benefits of shared community space and resources. McGillivray and Legg have dreamed of building and living in a "socially and environmentally sustainable community" for a long time now.They foresee Belterra ( meaning the beautiful earth) the ideal spot for this courageous endeavor. Their mission statement is: To create and sustain an evolving community that embraces respect for a diverse group of ecologically accountable and socially responsible people. The 10 acres of land designated for this project is in a fantastic location (close to the cove) and has a view of the mountains that is most spectacular.
