Lions Gate Bridge is now reopen following a closure due to a police incident Thursday morning.
The West Vancouver Police Department sent out the notification on X about the closure just before 7 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5, advising drivers to "expect significant delays" and to use Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Crossing instead of Lions Gate Bridge. An update at 8:16 a.m. indicated that the bridge had reopened in both directions.
#LionsGateBridge has re-opened in both directions. #WVPD thanks the public for their patience and cooperation. #westvan #westvancouver #NorthVan #Vancouver #BCHwy99
