Ferry sailings added for Swifties and others

B.C. Ferries and Hullo Ferries have added sailings for those headed to and from the Lower Mainland for special events this weekend, including Taylor Swift’s Eras tour concerts.

The Swift concerts are set for today, Saturday and Sunday, while Vancouver Canucks games and Cirque du Soleil are also on the itinerary this weekend.

Hullo Ferries has three late-night sailings for walk-on passengers aiming to return to Nanaimo from Vancouver all three nights, with vessels leaving Vancouver at midnight and 12:30 a.m. Reservations are required — go to hullo.com.

As for B.C. Ferries, it will have extra sailings today at 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. between Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen in both directions, and additional late-night sailings Sunday from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen at 11 p.m. and from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay at 1 a.m. on Monday.

B.C. Ferries recommends passengers plan ahead because demand is expected to be high.

Extra transit buses have been scheduled to co-ordinate with the extra sailings.
