In the wake of "unprecedented" flight cancellations at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), all of the country's major airlines are offering boxing day flight sales.
Locals can take advantage of a boxing day flight sale in Canada to get reduced airfare to cities across the country as well as numerous destinations worldwide.
While some airlines are winding down their sale on Wednesday (Dec. 28) night, others will continue to offer discounts and perks into the new year.
The Air Canada Boxing Day sale 2022 ended on Wednesday but there are still numerous deals to take advantage of with other carriers.

WestJet Boxing Day Sale 2022
Canada's second-largest airline is having a boxing day sale on flights anywhere the airline flies.
Until Wednesday at 10:59 p.m., customers can get 20 per cent off any WestJet flights for travel between Jan. 9 to June 29, 2023. There are no blackout dates and it is applicable to all fare classes. However, it doesn't apply to code-share flights, meaning that the ticket must only have WestJet on it and no other airline is operating the flight.

Swoop Boxing Day Sale 2022
WestJet's discount carrier, Swoop, is also having a boxing day sale. Locals can get 50 per cent off base fares to cities across Canada and 40 per cent off base fares for destinations in the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean.
The sale runs until Jan. 2, 2023, at 10:59 p.m. (or until sold out) for travel between Feb. 1 and June 28, 2023.

Flair Boxing Day Sale 2022
Ultra-low-cost carrier Flair Airlines is also offering a boxing day sale across all flights in its network for travel between Jan. 4 and Oct. 28, 2023.
Travellers can take advantage of 25 per cent off all routes for all dates. They can also take advantage of 50 per cent off base fares except for the following blackout dates in 2023: Feb. 17 to Feb. 20; March 10 to March 19, April 6 to April 10; May 18 to May 22; June 16 to Sept. 4; and Oct. 6 to Oct. 8.
Fares start from as little as $13.52 for a one-way flight from Abbotsford International Airport (YXX) to Edmonton International Airport (YEG), with the 50 per cent discount applied.

Sunwing Boxing Day Sale 2022
Sunwing is offing discounts on all of its vacation packages until Jan. 8, 2023, as part of its lengthy boxing week offer.
The deal is applicable to its vacation packages for travel until April 30, 2023, including everything from last-minute getaways, cruises, family holidays, and more.
While some of the packages show more modest discounts of 10 to 15 per cent, others show discounts of over 40 per cent off. Since the discounts have already been applied, customers don't need to apply a discount code.
Lynx Air Boxing Day Sale 2022
Lynx Air is offering 75 per cent off base fares on flights across its entire network for its boxing day sale.
The sale applies to travel between Jan. 9 and Feb. 28, 2023 and runs until Dec. 31, 2022.

Lynx Air launched its first flights out of Vancouver in April 2022, with direct service to Calgary. The airline has also provided service from the city to Toronto, Kelowna, and Winnipeg.
Air North Boxing Day Sale 2022
Air North, "The Yukon's Airline," is offering 20 per cent off base fares on all flights for its boxing day sale.
The sale runs until Jan. 4, 2023, at 10:59 p.m. for travel between April 1 and Nov. 30, 2023.
