Travelling, repairs to his home and a nice dinner to celebrate are the plans for Tan Quach who is now six figures richer.

The Vancouver resident won a total of $244,036.60 from the July 19 Lotto Max draw after purchasing a ticket at the Grand Villa Casino in Burnaby (4331 Dominion St.).

“I thought I won $24,000 or something,” Quach explained in a news release from the BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) today, Aug. 15.

“I showed my wife and she said, ‘What is this?’”

Quach checked his ticket on the BCLC Lotto App, but then called the agency directly to confirm what he saw.

“It will make things easier!" he said of his lotto win.

Lotto Max's $65-million jackpot from July 19 went unclaimed.
