This letter is to express my appreciation to the Muni’s Bruce Lyne and his crew for the great job they have done on the new trail from Westside Road to link with the existing trail alongside Bowen Bay Road to the Evergreen trails. Now that this stretch of trail that is set back from the road, we no longer have to worry about meeting a large truck or coming around the blind corner,
Some years ago the trail alongside Bowen Bay Road to the Evergreen network was built with the co-operation of BIHORA, Twin Island Excavating and John Reid. This trail has been very well used and much appreciated. However, there remained the difficult stretch to reach the Westside Road junction which could not be part of that project as it was on Municipal land.
When the dangers of that section were brought to the attention of the Municipality they responded promptly.
