Dear Editor,
The Supreme Court of British Columbia decision of Judge Lynn Smith allowing doctor assisted suicide in certain situations was upheld unanimously by the Supreme Court of Canada, overturning their earlier decision in Rodriguez.
Judge Smith might be surprised to find herself “leading” the Supreme Court of Canada, since it is a job which Madame Justice Beverley McLaughlin has been doing for the past decade.
Not sure if the distinction matters to most but this is more precise for those who do care.
