HONOLULU (AP) — In a story published Aug. 14, 2024, The Associated Press reported Wally Amos died of complications from dementia, according to his children. His death certificate has since shown that his cause of death is listed as cardiopulmonary arrest, anoxic encephalopathy and previous cardiac arrest. Vascular dementia is listed one of the other significant diseases, conditions or injuries that contributed to his death.
