Power will be out across much of the island tomorrow due to planned work by BC Hydro.
The outage is scheduled from Noon to 3 pm on Tuesday, November 21. Around 782 customers will be affected. On their website BC Hydro says the cause is work on their equipment.
The following roads will be impacted by the outage: Baker Road, Bannister Road, Bowen Island Trunk Road, Catalina Road, Chevy Chase Lane, Cleator Road, Collins Road, Collins Farm Road, Columbine Road, Cove Road, Creek Road, David Road, Deer Walk, Eagle Cliff Road, Eagle Rock Lane, Eagles Nest Road, Ecclestone Road, Edwards Road, Finisterre Road, Highland Trail, Hillcrest Road, Hood Point Road, Howe Road, Jason Road, Lenora Road; Magee Road, Melmore Road, Miller Road, Moonwinks Drive, Oceanview Road, Old Eagle Cliff Road, Park Road, Poca Road, Porter Road, Reed Road, Robert Road, Scarborough Road, Senator Place, Senator Road, Senior Road, Smugglers Cove Road, Upland Trail, Vista Road, Webb Road, Williams Road.
A smaller intermittent power outage will also take place next Monday, November 27. About 19 customers will be affected during another round of equipment work by BC Hydro. Short outages of up to 30 minutes will occur between 10 am and 3 pm.
Areas impacted include parts of Harding Road, Oceanview Road, and Woods Road. The full list can be found on BC Hydro's outage page.
