If you’re in the market for a new car, and are keen to maintain a semblance of originality while cruising the highway, it might be best to avoid the vehicles on this list.
Then again, this list is Canada-wide, so you B.C. folks might be OK. (DesRosiers Automotive Reports, where these year-to-date numbers were pulled from, hasn’t released a list specific to each province).
Keep in mind, the vehicles topping this list are best-sellers for their reliability and affordability in their class. There’s a good reason (aside from great marketing) that tens of thousands of people are driving Mazda3’s.
One last thing: the word “cars” in the headline is misleading. This list includes both passenger cars and “light trucks,” including pickup trucks, SUVs and mini-vans. The DesRosier report shows that Canadians still favour trucks over passenger cars, a trend that’s carried over from the past few years.
So which one topped the list so far? Place bets with your friends…now!
