Island Trick-or-Treaters showed up in force to close out October with the annual Halloween pilgrimage to Deep Bay.
The rain did end up making an appearance, but not until later in the evening festivities, leaving the daylight portion of the event nice and dry for all the participants. The Bowen Island Fire Department also persisted through the conditions to put on their annual fireworks show at the Causeway following Trick-or-Treating, much to the delight of the crowd.
For those kids just starting out on their candy journeys, the businesses at Artisan Square held a Trick-or-Treating event on Halloween morning for kids five and under, inspired by Bowen Island Family Place. It’s a great opportunity for younger kids to enjoy the tradition without the hustle and bustle of the Loop on Halloween night, and of course a chance for eager parents to dress up for the occasion too.
