Saturday, October 29
Trick4Treats Tournament at Bowen Island Golf Club - 10:30 am
Third Annual Halloween Tournament at the Golf Club. Tournament begins at 10:30 am, with the party starting at 1:30 pm. Registration info here.
Monsoon Madness Mudder - 11 am
Join Island Pacific School for a family friendly mudder which will include a 2 km obstacle course, silent auction, homemade chili, face painting, pumpkin decorating, costumes, and more! Find out more about Monsoon Madness Mudder here.
Fright Night at Bowen Island Pub - 7 pm
Halloween party featuring Big Shiny Band. Tickets on sale at the Pub.
Halloween Hootenanny at the Legion - 7:30 pm
Featuring the Blue Wranglers. All ages pumpkin carving contest and prizes for best individual and group costume. Doors at 7:30 pm, show begins at 8:30 pm. More info available here.
Sunday, October 30
Candy Distribution in the Loop - 4 pm
Community donations of candy in the Loop/Cove will be available for pick up from 4 to 7 pm at 1130 Lenora Road by residents of Lenora, Melmore, and Senator Roads, as well as anyone else who has a home that gets overwhelmed by the 300+ Trick or Treaters each year. More info here.
Lantern Walk - 4:30 pm
Second Annual Lantern Walk. You and yours are warmly invited to the 2nd Annual Island Lantern Walk. Requesting the permissions of the Ancestors of these Coast Salish Waters, we gather in celebration of Samhain and the Turning of the Wheel of the Year. Find out much more here.
Carve up the Cove Pumpkin Carving Contest - Until 6 pm
Third Annual pumpkin carving contest at Bowen Island Integrated Health. Drop off your pumpkins before 6 pm, when there will be a lighting ceremony, games, and prizes.
Monday, October 31 - Halloween
Trick or Treating - 5 pm
Candy collecting on Bowen Island from 5 to 7 pm at various neighbourhoods as well as in “The Loop” The first hour (5-6 pm) is generally for the youngest kids, (not all homes will be ready at 5 pm), with the main trick or treating from 6 to 7:15 pm. Houses begin to shut down from 7:15 to 7:30 pm, especially for fireworks at the Causeway.
Halloween Fireworks - 7 pm
Join Bowen Island Fire Rescue on the causeway for hot chocolate and a fireworks show.
