Manitoba RCMP report that the search for Squamish’s Keith Zajac is still ongoing.
Zajac was officially declared missing in Manitoba at the beginning of August, prompting police to ask the public for information on his whereabouts.
In an email update to The Squamish Chief on Oct. 5, officers said that their investigation is still active.
“We don’t have any current ground searches taking place but we continue to investigate any tips that come in and in fact encourage others with information to call in with whatever info they might have,” wrote Sgt. Paul Manaigre, a spokesperson for Manitoba RCMP.
At the time he went missing, the 55-year-old was on a road trip from Squamish and was travelling through the province on his way to see family in Ontario.
A search for Zajac occurred shortly after officers declared him missing, but his whereabouts remain unknown. He was last seen in Brandon, Man.
