Police officers are often called to unique situations and on Friday they needed to help an animal stuck in an odd spot.
Two Mounties in Clinton were asked to assist a woman after a large bird became trapped behind the front grill of her Toyota Tundra.
Police say the hawk was stressed and unable to escape so the woman drove to the local RCMP detachment for help.
A video of the tricky situation was captured and shared online; it currently has more than 69,000 views.
"The moment Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Brandon Buliziuk and Cst. Marika Masters, the acting corporal and detachment commander for the Clinton RCMP loosened the front grill of the Toyota Tundra, the hawk took flight,” reads the post.
According to police, the hawk did not appear to be injured and quickly gained altitude and soared away.
"Police officers working on the front lines never truly know what unique situations they will encounter day to day while policing the beautiful province of British Columbia," the post says.
